Team
Members of the MobiX research group at HKUST (GZ), and where our alumni went next.
MobiX (Mobile Intelligence & eXploration) is a research group at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), led by Dr. Zhidan Liu. We build intelligent systems that sense and understand the world, act autonomously through mobile interfaces, operate efficiently on resource-constrained devices, and support decisions at city scale.
Our research brings together mobile sensing and human-centric computing, mobile/GUI agents, edge intelligence, and urban computing. Across these areas, we develop algorithms and systems for multimodal perception, foundation-model reasoning, adaptive computation, and data-driven decision-making. We value problem-driven research, reliable real-world deployment, and rigorous experimental evaluation.
Hiring: We are constantly looking for self-motivated PhD students, RBM students, RAs, and PostDocs to join us. See the recruitment flyer for details.
